This 3-day safari is ideal for travelers seeking a short but immersive wildlife experience in two of Tanzania’s most scenic national parks. Tarangire National Park is famous for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich wildlife along the Tarangire River. Lake Manyara National Park offers a completely different ecosystem, featuring lush groundwater forests, open plains, flamingo-filled lakeshores, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. This safari combines diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and comfortable lodges, making it perfect for first-time visitors or travelers with limited time.
Day 1 — Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full game drive exploring the park’s rolling savannah, riverine habitats, and iconic baobab trees. Tarangire hosts large herds of elephants as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of bird species.

Day 2 — Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive toward Lake Manyara National Park. The park is known for its dramatic escarpment backdrop, lush forest, and soda lake that attracts flamingos and other water birds. Enjoy a game drive searching for elephants, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, and the famous tree-climbing lions before heading to your lodge for the evening.

Day 3 — Lake Manyara to Arusha
Enjoy a relaxed morning at your lodge before departing for Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may enjoy a short nature walk or cultural visit en route. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.
