Safari Overview
This 4-day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Safari is a perfect balance of adventure and comfort, offering exceptional wildlife viewing in two of Northern Tanzania’s most famous destinations. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich diversity of animals along the Tarangire River. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife areas, home to the Big Five and an incredible concentration of animals within a breathtaking volcanic caldera.
Day 1 — Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full-day game drive through rolling savannah, riverine forests, and iconic baobab landscapes. Expect to see large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and abundant birdlife.

Day 2 — Tarangire to Karatu (Ngorongoro Highlands)
After a morning game drive in Tarangire, travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy scenic views of the Rift Valley and highland farmlands before arriving in Karatu. Relax at your lodge and prepare for the crater adventure the next day.

Day 3 — Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Today you descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater floor hosts an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and the rare black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a scenic hippo pool.

Day 4 — Karatu to Arusha
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Along the way, you may visit a local cultural village or enjoy souvenir shopping. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
